OVERVIEW

A US-based thermal laboratory, built for collaboration

Tutamen's customers don't always have the time — or the in-house equipment — to run rigorous thermal validation. The Bay Area lab is our answer: a US-based testing and iteration environment where your engineers can sit beside ours, load a board, run a real workload, watch the data come off the rig, and iterate the design in the same session.

The lab is designed to compress the cycle from CFD model to validated prototype from weeks to days. CFD workstations, thermal chambers, IR imaging, cartridge heaters and die simulators, full instrumentation — all in one room, with the thermal engineering team that designs and qualifies your solution standing next to it.

The Bay Area location is deliberate. Most of our AI-infrastructure and network-security customers are within a one-hour drive. Most of the people who would benefit most from this lab can have breakfast at their office, walk through real iteration with us before lunch, and be home for dinner.

SCOPE OF THE LAB

From CFD model to validated cold plate — under one roof

CFD Modelling Bench

Workstations running industry-standard CFD against your operating envelope. Customers can sit beside the engineer and watch geometry sweeps run in real time.

Thermal Test Rigs

Cartridge heaters, die simulators, thermocouple arrays, IR cameras. Real load profiles — not idealised steady-state ones.

Cold-Plate Loop

Dedicated liquid loop for direct-to-chip cold plate validation — flow control, inlet/outlet temperature, pressure drop, leak testing.

Environmental Chambers

Ambient and altitude testing for products that need to qualify against real-world deployment conditions.

Customer Workspace

Sit-with-us workstations, screens, and review space. Lock-and-leave benches for customer hardware between visits.

Rapid Iteration

Same-day design tweaks routed back to Dongguan engineering for sample re-build. The Pacific time-zone overlap is engineered into the workflow.

A day at the lab

01

Brief Review

Walk through the operating envelope and qualification criteria with our thermal engineers.

02

CFD Sweep

Model variants live. Compare geometries against your performance target.

03

Bench Test

Load the current prototype or candidate solution. Capture real performance data.

04

Iterate

Adjust geometry or interface materials. Re-run. Compare. Lock the path forward.

05

Hand-off to Mfg

Validated design routed straight into Dongguan / Jiangxi production. Same engineering team, end to end.

Founding-customer slots open

We are talking to a small group of founding customers about committed lab time once the Bay Area facility opens in Q4 2026. Early conversations are shaping equipment selection — if there is a specific rig, chamber, or instrumentation capability your programmes need, now is the moment to influence it.
